Description

Coastal States Bank is currently looking for a Banking Specialist, also known as a Teller. The primary function is to provide exemplary customer service to both existing and potential customers.  This position is Full Time and performs teller duties to ensure banking needs are being met in a timely and efficient manner.

Essential Position Responsibilities:

1.Provides superior service to bank customers by performing banking transactions, handling both current and potential customer inquiries and expanding bank relationships.  Directs customers with loan inquiries to appropriate personnel.
2.Maintains and balances case drawer, received deposits, posts payments, and pay out customer funds.
3.Projects a professional image of the bank.
4.Provides excellent customer service and can work as a team with other members of the bank staff.
5.Expand bank relationships by making appropriate referrals, such as mortgage and commercial lending.
6.Perform account research and problem solving.
7.Maintain customer satisfaction and confidence by representing the bank in a positive manner, maintaining confidentiality, answering various questions and conducting business in a professional manner.
8.Answer all calls within 3 rings and return phone calls or follow-up within 24-hours.
9.Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
10.Contribute to the bank team effort by working on special projects and reports, performing other job-related duties and accomplishing related results.
11.Complete all mandatory training sessions as required by management
12.Demonstrate a full understanding of security and dual control policy and procedures.
13.Comply with bank procedures and follow regulatory, operational and security guidelines.
14.Follow all other instructions and perform other job-related duties, at the discretion of branch management.

Preferred Education/Experience/Software:

 Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with good knowledge of basic math.  Additional banking or general business courses is preferred.  One-year cash handling and customer service background are required.  Teller experience preferred.  Knowledgeable in a wide range of Microsoft Office software applications.
