Description
CoastalStates Bank is currently looking for a Deposit Operations Specialist.


This position will provide banking center support. The Specialist will assist with Fed adjustment research and cash letter corrections, daily processing of wire transfers, collection processing, file maintenance, and research as well as facilitate incoming and outgoing wires.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Transmit Fed Wires, Foreign and Domestic Exchange, Corporate Wires, Online bank wires, standing orders and verifications for all wire transfers on date requested.
  • Ensure proper personnel are notified of any incoming service message. Investigate and resolve all wire transfer problems within the required periods. Correspond with appropriate bank personnel as required and document action taken.
  • Accurately facilitate payment instructions via Fed wire according to Regulation J, Article 4A and BSA with special attention to OFAC compliance and adhere to approved policy regarding record keeping.
  • Perform reconciliation of previous day’s Fed line activities and report the Fed balances so that the proper cash position can be maintained.
  • Detect and assist in the investigation of fraudulent wire transfer, research and process Fed Check adjustments and Customer (Internal and External) research requests.
  • Process daily non-post items and NSF Return items, Cash & Currency Shipments, process redeemed Savings Bonds, and Fed Chargeback Items.
  • Inscribes dollar amount, account number, ABA number, item counts and special transaction codes for items that are not able to be imaged.
  • Proves and balances proof-of-deposit and in-clearing work and prepares files to transfer.

Education, Experience, and Equipment Requirements:

  • Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
  • Works on diverse deadline driven tasks.
  • Occasionally works with highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills necessary to interact and communicate with various levels of internal and external clients.
  • Solid time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Works under general supervision and usually on own initiative.
  • May perform some tasks independently and also work as a contributing team member.
  • May act as a resource to other internal staff.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Fiserv experience a plus.
